Press release: Indaver is the new owner of Grontmij BRP

At the start of November 2019, Indaver and the engineering consultancy Sweco completed the sale of Grontmij Beheer Restoffenprojecten BV (BRP) [Grontmij Residual Waste Management Projects Ltd.] to Indaver Nederland. The waste management companies Stainkoeln, Vagroen, Secundaire Bouwstoffen Unie and Waterzuivering Milieuboulevard Groningen all come under Grontmij BRP.

The takeover of Grontmij BRP, which is active in waste, soil, sludge, biomass, VGF and green waste, fits Indaver’s ambitions for growth perfectly. With the Stainkoeln landfill site, Indaver’s Business Unit Landfill Reconversion is strengthening its market position in the Netherlands. Furthermore, Indaver is securing landfill capacity for its customers and keeping its knowledge and expertise in house to achieve its international ambition. With Vagroen, Indaver Benelux-France can strengthen and increase its market position within the VGF and green market.

With Indaver as the new owner, Grontmij BRP can set its sights on an international future. In Indaver, the customers and staff of Grontmij BRP have found a leading international organisation that has earned its spurs in the waste sector and by working with Indaver, Grontmij BRP can proceed with and further expand on its activities in the north of the Netherlands.
