People: committed employees make the difference
Sustainable employment
Like all companies we have to be able to rely on the right people with the right skills. This means that we have to retain the knowledge we have in our company and ensure our people can stay healthy and continue working for longer. We prepare our employees for a fast-changing environment so that they can seize the opportunities that present themselves. We encourage internal job mobility and life-long learning. We support initiatives and organise workshops to keep our staff physically and mentally fit. We ensure there is a healthy work-life balance.
Knowledge and training
We want to be able to attract, develop and retain talent so that we can offer our customers the best solutions. That is why we invest in training courses, on-the-job training, coaching and both informal and formal learning opportunities to keep our staff flexible and resilient as well as broadening Indaver's expertise. In 2016, Indaver's 1,639 staff received around 59,000 hours' training.
Employee satisfaction
We know that motivated and committed employees are important for Indaver to be able to make a difference. So we want to ensure they continue to enjoy their work. And according to an independent study on people's involvement and experience of work in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland, we are succeeding. It seems our staff are more motivated than the European average; and the scores for satisfaction and involvement were good. But we aren't resting on our laurels; we are improving our approach to increase satisfaction even further.
