Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are seventeen collective goals that help countries to achieve inclusive and sustainable prosperity in 2030. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next twelve years.

Of the seventeen SDGs, the International Solid Waste Association, ISWA, has identified seven goals required to achieve sustainable and professional waste management worldwide. As ISWA notes in this video, the waste sector can reduce green house gas emissions by 15-20%, which is essential for achieving the SDGs.

As a member of ISWA, Indaver has started working on the seven development goals that ISWA defined. We have even added one more: economic growth. In the sustainability report, each of these eight goals has been given its own icon. These appear wherever they are relevant.
